Note that when you save brushes from Photoshop, you will save all the presets that are currently loaded in your brush window. For this example, I will be saving the “Wet Media Brushes” presets from Adobe Photoshop CS4. But this process will transfer the brush tip material and basic brush information from one program to the other, making it much faster than having to recreate and resave brush materials!Įxporting your brushes from Photoshop is not a difficult process. You will likely still have to tweak the imported brushes a bit after transferring them from PS to CSP. Note that from what I’ve tested so far, this process is not perfect. You can now save these brushes from Photoshop and put them into Clip Studio for your use. If you’re a long-time user of Photoshop you likely have a collection of your favorite brushes, either made by you or downloaded from the internet. In this article we will cover the following topics:

But this week I’m excited to discuss how to use your Photoshop brushes in Clip Studio Paint! There are also some brand new brush options that we’ll be covering in the final part of this article.
COREL PAINTER BRUSHES DEVIANTART UPDATE
In this update are several exciting new features that I’ll be covering over the next few weeks. On DecemClip Studio Paint released their 1.10.5 version. Many of you probably know my name from those books, in fact! I was a beta-tester on the Manga Studio 5 program and for Clip Studio Paint, and I have written three books and several video courses about the program. I haven't spent a great deal of time with it because of hardware limitations, but once that's out of the way I think it will be very useful for mapping, and I'm personally excited to use it in my work flow.Hello! My name is Liz Staley and I’m a long-time user of Clip Studio Paint (I started using the program back when it was known as Manga Studio 4!). I'd say there's a steep learning curve, but worth it in the end.
COREL PAINTER BRUSHES DEVIANTART MANUAL
You'll want to read the manual that comes with painter, it's pretty good, the brush system is pretty hefty, but has allot of power if you're willing to learn it, there are tutorials for that on you tube, and allot of info in the manual. Allot of people use multiple programs when making maps. The only downfall would be if you're not familiar with mapping techniques and are relying on map making tutorials to learn because most of the tutorials are for PhotoShop and Gimp, but I don't see how most of the techniques couldn't be transferred over, and anything that you just can't figure out how to adapt you can do these layers in Gimp which is free and then bring them into Corel Painter. I'm excited to get my new computer going because I've always wanted to use the water colour brushes for mapping, and after seeing the new 2.5D and texture brushes I'm even more excited, I think I might have to upgrade to the 2018 version. The blend modes are very similar to PhotoShop or Gimp, and I think they have a few extra ones as well and they work in a similar way. I love Corel painter, I have the 2016 version, and the only reason I don't use it for mapping is because the interface is too small on my surface tablet.
